This 36" Saarinen table is dining table height. Great for smaller kitchens or dining rooms, it acommodates 3 to 4 people.

Designed by Eero Saarinen, the Saarinen pedestal table has been a staple of contemporary design for over 50 years as part of a larger group of pieces commonly referred to as the pedestal or tulip group. (Comprised of many different round and oval tables, side chairs, armchairs, and a stool.)  Saarinen experimented widely with these bases using different tops, and finishes on the bases.  Although a white marble on a glossy white base is the standard du jour, Saarinen used the matte finish and many other finshes and stone for his tables.

This 36" diameter pedestal table has a lacquered cast aluminum base in white or black and stands 28 1/4" in height. Both the base and tabletop are treated with a clear protective finish to resist scratches, stains and scuffs. It is available in white carrara or black marquina marble, or white or black laminate.
